Daisy

Erskine

Theater Artist

and

Fanciful Creator

About Daisy,

Hello, my name is Daisy Erskine. I am a visual artist living and working in Boise Idaho. I was born and raised in the vibrant “hippie” community of Boise, where seed celebration parades, performative dances for the solstice, and dipping in mountain rivers after a long hot day of picking wild blackberries were everyday practices. My love for art was cultivated from the farmlands and desert creeks I was raised on. Growing up with goats and plants by my side, my work reflects the respect and camaraderie I feel for the natural world I have grown with. I pull inspiration for my work from the beauty around me as well as my insatiable need to be knee deep in mud at all times. I work primarily as a storyteller. I strive to share fantastical ideas through sustainable theater, puppetry, printmaking, fiber arts, and natural art explorations. I feel the most connected to myself when I get to share the earth's magic through art with others. From leading kids through a garden like a mischievous fairy looking for the perfect flower to make a magical watercolor, to sharing strange stories about bugs with giant outlandish puppets. Whatever It may be, I am always searching to inspire others to be as authentic and wild as they could possibly be.
